Transmission Cooler Recommendation for 2004 Dodge Dakota with 3.7 L Engine
Question:
Hello I was wondering if you could tell me if the fittings on this cooler would fit my 2004 Dodge Dakota with the 3.7L gasoline engine and automatic transmission. also would like to know the rated PSI standard for these trans coolers. thank you for your time

The Derale 17" Frame Rail Fluid Cooler, # D13221, is a universal cooler so it will fit your 2004 Dodge Dakota but does not include the fittings and hose that you will need for installation.
Instead, I recommend taking a look at Derale Dyno-Cool Tube-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit, # D12901. Still very economical but offers a larger cooler and includes a high-temperature hose with clamps, nylon mounting rods, and Insta-dapt radiator adapter which fits most vehicles with 5/16" transmission lines. This cooler has a burst pressure of 300-psi and a guaranteed pressure rating of 250-psi.
