Availability of Replacement Trailer Connector for 2010 Toyota Tacoma

Question:

I have a double cab 2010 Toyota Tacoma, V6 with tow package and trailer light receptacle. I damaged the receptacle and need to replacement it and the metal bracket holding it on. The factory harness has two plugs that connect at the truck. The wires from these two plugs come together to feed the 7 pin, round light receptacle. I searched web site and all the ones I can find show only one plug. Please advise. Thank you.

For an exact replacement for the wiring harness on your 2010 Toyota Tacoma you will have to go to your Toyota dealer.

We do have a hardwire option you might be interested in. You will need to remove your existing 7-way and install a 7-way/4-pole connector like part # HM40975-11998. If you take a look at our wiring FAQ article, you can see how a 7-way is wired. Be sure to wire by function using a circuit tester rather than wire color.

I have linked you to an install video that will help you through the install process.

Do you mean to say that the 7-Way on both your Tacoma and 4Runner aren't getting any power? Are these new connectors or the original factory units? Lastly, are all the pins not working on the 7-Way or just one or two (running lights, brake/turn lights, 12V power, etc).
