Can Reese Friction Sway Control Kit # 83660 Be Installed on Drivers Side of Trailer
Question:
The sway bar is configured for right-hand mount, but it appears the control plate and lever can be reversed for left-hand mount. However, the Reese adapter plate is only set up for right-hand mount. My trailer has its tongue-jack on the right side, interfering with installation. Is there an adapter plate available that will work on the left side? Alternately, can I mount the adapter on the underside of the carrier hitch i.e., upside down, but still with the notch around the hitch?

Thank you for your recent purchases.
The Reese Friction Sway Control Kit # 83660 can be installed on the driver's side of your trailer since its internal friction arm can be removed and reinserted upside down, however the Sway Control Tab # RP26005 cannot be inverted to the bottom side of your ball mount. Instead you'll need to use part # 3442 which is a weld-on part that can be attached to the left side of your ball mount.
Part # D320 shows an example of how such a combination of items will look, but note this example shows the tab welded on the passenger side.
