Best Trailer Braking Setup Recommendation for Flatbed Trailer
Question:
I have a M1061A1 T/A Flatbed Trailer. I have a Ford with Prodigy P2 controller. What is the most economical brake solution versus the best brake solution for long term use? I know I will need a breakaway controller as well. Would it be possible to get a turn key solution and quote? Respectfully

The absolute best brake setup I could recommend for a trailer like yours would be an electric over hydraulic setup with disc brakes. To start with you would want the part # CAR-HBA16-2 for this which comes brake lines, the actuator, and a breakaway system. This setup will give you the power of hydraulic disc brakes plus the adjustability of electric brakes. It is truly the best of both worlds.
You would then need to order the correct disc brake kit. This will depend largely on the setup for your trailer currently and the hubs it has already. For more info on this check out the help article I attached.
The other route you could go with that would also work well would be to go with electric drum brake assemblies on your trailer. I attached a help article that details how to pick out all of the necessary components for this route as well.
