How to Determine What Pin Box a Trailer Has to Pick Out Cushioned Pin Box Replacement
Question:
I need to find out how to determine which pin box my 5th wheel has. Also what is the best cushioned pin box based on your customers feedback? Do I need to measure the length of the extension on my current trailer or are they all the same, it currently has an extended pin on it that came from factory and I have no clearance issues.

Typically there is a sticker or plate on or near the pin box that will have the pin box model and number listed there. With that info you can pick out a new cushioned pin box.
Or, if you can't find that you can check out the help article I attached that details how to measure a pin box to determine what model it is.
A 5th Airborne with Sidewinder like the part # RP61412 that you referenced would be my recommendation. These provide you with superior cushioning and since the pivot point of the hitch gets moved back it also helps the trailer track better behind the truck while turning and makes it much easier to back up.
