Trailer Hitch and Cargo Carrier for a 2014 Chevy Cruze
Question:
I have a new car, listed above. Would I have to get the longer 4inch rise model to allow me to open my trunk when the trailer is hooked up? Thanks!

The Carpod cargo carrier # M2205 only fits in 2 inch trailer hitch receivers. All of the hitches for your 2014 Chevy Cruze are Class I hitches with 1-1/4 inch receivers so it would not fit. I have included a link to the hitch mount cargo carriers that are compatible with a Class I trailer hitch.
I recommend # C18110. You could then add a cargo bag # e98990 and secure it to the carrier. With this set up I do not anticipate any problems opening the trunk on your Cruze.
For a trailer hitch I recommend Draw-Tite hitch # 24882. It is rated for 200 pounds tongue weight so the combined weight of the carrier and anything on it cannot exceed 200 pounds. I have linked a video showing installation of the trailer hitch and a video review of the carrier for you.
