Is It Possible to Upgrade my Pontoon Trailer Tires and Wheels From 10-Inch 5 on 4-1/2 to 14-Inch
Question:
I have a pontoon boat on a trailer. The wheels are 4 each 10inch wheels 4 1/2inch 5 lug pattern. I know the fenders will need to be moved Can I upgrade to 14inch 4 1/2inch 5 lug? And thanks

You may be able to increase your tire and wheel size, but your biggest concern will be the fender and sidewall clearance and axle spacing if you have tandem axles on your pontoon trailer.
For example, on a 10 inch tire and wheel like the Kenda # AM3H490 is size 205/65-10, section width 8.4 inches, and outer diameter when inflated 20.4 inches. When increasing to a 14-inch tire like the Kenda Karrier # AM32153 (ST205/75R14 and section width 8.1 inches and out diameter when inflated 26.3 inches) it will increase the diameter by 5.9 inches. Depending on the tire size you have and the tire size you go to you will want to consider the dimensional differences and the space available for tires and wheels.
If you have a tandem axle trailer, you will need to consider your axle spacing and moving to larger tires and wheels will bring the front and back tires closer together. If you can tell what tire size you currently have and if you have single or tandem axles I would be happy to provide you with more specific information.
I included a few informative articles and video reviews on each tire/wheel for you too.
