is each unit rated for 2000# ? so if I were to by four for a tandem trailer the trailer would be rated for 8000# is that correct ? my boat weighs 4000# dry weight

Each unit (this includes right and left side of trailer) of part # A20RS545 is designed to replace one 2,000 lb axle and is rated for 2,000 lbs. So two such units would be rated for 4,000 lbs.

Please note that the total weight applied to the axle-less system (trailer weight plus the weight of the load carried in the trailer) cannot exceed 2,000 lbs. Also, your trailer's design will determine its capacity - not just your hubs.

Since you want to use a larger wheel size you'd need to go with the higher rated Timbren Axle Less kit part #A35RS545. The wheel flange on the smaller hubs of the other kit can't accommodate the larger wheel diameters.
