Can a Curt Class V Trailer Hitch for 2014 GMC Conversion Van Handle 900 Pound Motorcycle

Question:

I have a 2014 GMC conversion van and would like to install a motorcycle carrier on the hitch. It calls for a class V hitch with a 2 inch receiver. I will be loading a900 pound motorcycle on this hitch. The motorcycle carrier is rated for 1000 pounds and fits into the 2 inch receiver. Will your class V hitch work with this set up. The carrier weighs 280 pounds. Please advise if your hitch will work for this application. Thanks for your help.

The Curt Class V trailer hitch # C15320 can handle the combined weight of the carrier and motorcycle (1,180 pounds total). But you have to also check the owners manual for the 2014 GMC Savanna conversion to determine if it is rated high enough for the combined weight. If it is then it will all work out. But if it is not rated high enough there are alternative solutions.

You could use motorcycle trailer which would put much less stress on the hitch and vehicle.
