How to Install a Weight Distribution System on a V-Nose Trailer

Question:

I looking to buy a weight distributing sway system.PS49582 and 83660. I see that all your units require 30 inches from the center of ball to center of lift cam bracket. My trailer has 30 inches from ball to the face of front wall its a V nose , which would put the bracket slightly forward of that. Will it work? What is your suggestion.

With V-nose trailers the best solution for installing the chain hangers is to use the bolt on brackets like part # RP58305. This will bolt to the side of the trailer frame and won't require vertical clearance above the frame like the included hangers of the # PS49582.
