Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2014 Scion iQ That Can Carry 57 lb Bike
Question:
I only have one bike, but it is 57 lbs. When the specs state it can transport two bikes @ 35 lbs. each, is it because each set of clamps can only hold 35 lbs.? Would I be able to use this rack if it were the sole bike being transported? Kindest regards,

The frame cradles of the Thule Passage 2 Bike Carrier # TH910XT are only rated for 35 lbs so you would not be able to carry a bike that weighs 57 lbs. I have a solution for you though.
You will want to go with a hitch mounted bike rack with enough capacity for the weight of your bike like the Saris SuperClamp Freedom EX2 part # SA4025F which has a 60 lb per bike capacity. Check out the review video I attached as well.
For a hitch you would want the Curt Hitch part # C11291. You will also need to use the stabilizer strap part # 18050 per Curt's requirement. I attached an install video for this product as well.
