Expert Reply:
The Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30928 that you referenced will fit into any set of industry-standard base rails from Reese, Curt, Hidden Hitch, Valley or others. Longer bed trucks like your Sierra with 8-foot bed make 5th wheel trailer maneuvering much easier since such truck avoid the clearance issue common to short bed trucks.
We offer both universal-fit and custom-fit 5th wheel installation kits. Universal kits cost less but require more drilling and more overall installation time. Custom-fit kits avoid drilling into the truck's frame and will save you a few hours of labor. These kits are model year specific so please feel free to let me know your Sierra's model year and I will recommend a custom-fit install kit.
For example, if your Sierra is a 2012 model year we offer universal install kit # RP30035 as well as custom-fit install kit # RP56001-53.
