Troubleshooting Left Hand Turn Signal Not Working on Trailer Towed by 2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser

Question:

My LH turn signal does not work. I have pulled all my T-fittings and checked the ground, so it must be the box, correct? Brake lights, tail lights Rh turn works.

I would start by taking a look at the connector on the trailer as well as the connector on your 2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser. Check to make sure that it is free of dirt and corrosion and that the ground wires are securely grounded to a clean metal surface. In addition, each lamp/signal on the trailer will also need to be grounded as well. Typically the lamp/signal is grounded through the mounting bolts having direct contact with the trailer frame. You will want to make sure that this area is free of corrosion. If by chance your lamps have a separate ground wire, you will need to check to make sure that each of those ground wires are secured to a clean metal surface.

Next, I would use a circuit tester, like part # PTW2993, to check the functions of each trailer connector pin on your vehicle. If any of the pins are not functioning properly, there most likely is something wrong with the powered converter (box) that you have. If all pins function as they should, the issue is somewhere on the trailer. In this case I recommend inspecting the wiring on the trailer to make sure there aren't any wires that are exposed or damaged.

I have also attached a help article which covers some additional troubleshooting steps for wiring installations that you may want to take a look at.
