If Trailer Light Is Sealed/Waterproof Why Does Boat Trailer Have to Be Unplugged Before Submerging

YOUR comment says to unplug before backing up. Why - if it is waterproof?

The light, # UCL65CB, is waterproof since it is a sealed LED. But the wiring on a trailer isn't necessarily waterproof. To avoid any possibility of a short due to water unplugging the trailer before submerging it is the way to go.
