Where To Measure the Hitch Height on a Trailer When Setting Up Weight Distribution  

Question:

On the install video he measures the top of the trailers hitch at 24inch then later when setting the ball height he refers to the trailer being at 22? Im confused please clear this up for me!

In the video you referenced Joe (the installer) first gave the height of 24 inches when he measured from the ground to the top of the coupler on the trailer. When he later mentions 22 inches he is referring to the the distance from the bottom of the coupler to the ground. I realize that's a bit confusing but that is why the two numbers are stated. Typically when determining hitch height for ball mount selection you want to measure from the ground to the bottom of the coupler.

Either way the measurement he took will be different for every trailer so use the video (attached), as a guide for setting up this system.
