Solution for Offset Gooseneck Adapter That Causes Tailgate Interference  

Question:

If my fifth wheel has the adjustable gooseneck adapter from etrailer part numberc5gxand I am having I clearance problem with the king pin box hitting the inside of my bed can I turn this 4 inch offset ball the other direction to advance it closer to the cab.

Since the gooseneck adapter part # CAB-C5GX1216 that you have already has an offset built into it you can't use another offset adapter like the part # BWGNXA4685 that you referenced. This would put too much strain on the pin box of your trailer.

Your best option would be to go with the # CAB-C5G instead of your current adapter as it doesn't have an offset built into it and should bring your pin box further away from your tailgate.
