Recommended Weight Distribution System For Rockwood Hybrid Camper With 600 Lbs Tongue Weight
Question:
Hi - I have a 2014 Ford Expedition 4x4 with the heavy duty towing package. I am purchasing a Rookwood Roo Hybrid camper. The GVWR of the trailer is 6,602 lbs with a tongue weight of 602 lbs. Could you please reply with a couple recommended WDHs?

To choose a weight distribution system you will need to go by the total tongue weight of the set up. This is calculated by taking the tongue weight of the trailer, when loaded and ready to tow, and adding to that the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle.
For your Rockwood Hybrid Camper with accessories on the trailer tongue, I recommend the trunnion style weight distribution system with sway control like the Blue Ox system # BXW0750. This system will bolt to the sides of the frame to avoid interference with your tongue mounted accessories.
For a 2" diameter hitch ball use # A-90
For a 2-5/16" hitch ball use # 19286
I have attached a helpful article that explains weight distribution you can check out.
