Could Trailer Interior Lights Be Powered Off of the Running Lights Circuit
Question:
Can I hook up the 12v interior lights to the brown tail light wire ? Only have a 4 wire connector and would rather not add a 5th.

Expert Reply:
If you were to hook up the interior lights of a trailer to the running lights circuit of the trailer wiring they would only have power when the headlights or running lights of the trailer wiring are active.
Also you would not want to exceed the amperage capacity of the running light circuit with the amperage draw of the interior lights.
