The correct vehicle wiring for the 2004 Hyundai Elantra is the Draw-Tite Wiring, # 119178KIT. It comes with an upgraded circuit protected taillight converter hardwire kit with 4 pole end.
I have included a link with instructions for a similar product. The wiring situation will be the same though.
