Dimensions of Replacement Aluminum Shank Adapters
Question:
Can I get EXACT dimensions of 853-7292 and 853-7489. Need length, width, height and how far large bolt hole is from nearest end. If possible, give your opinion on which item will fit more snugly in a 2inch receiver hitch looking for lwrger width and height of 2 items.

I went out to the warehouse and pulled replacement aluminum shank adapters # 853-7292 and # 853-7489 and took the requested measurements for you.
Part # 853-7292 is 10 inches long, 2 inches tall and the shank opening is 1-1/4 inches. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of the shank measures 1-9/16 inches.
Part # 853-7489 is 4-1/4 inches long, 2 inches tall and the shank opening is 1-1/4 inches. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of the shank measures 1-1/2 inches.

They are both 2x2 so they will fit similarly in a 2x2 receiver.
