Trailer Wiring Harness Shows No Power On 2010 Acura MDX
Question:
My Curt wiring harness for my 2010 Acura MDX does not have power at the terminals. There is a reference to the need for a relay from Acura in the product description, but no mention of a relay in the installation video. Wher woul a relay be installed? The Acura rear fuse panel also has fuse slots identified for the trailer lights. There are no fuses in the panel on the video. Are those fuses not needed with the Curt converter?

When installing the Tow Ready Wiring Harness, part # 118424, and you find that you have no power to the wiring harness you probably need the relay as stated on our site under Tech tips.
You will need to visit your Acura dealership to have the relay installed. They would be able to advise you concerning the best location for installation. One of our folks here said that most Acuras have the relay installed but on occasion it has not been there and requires the dealer to take care of it.
