How to Transport Bikes and Tow a Camper Trailer with a 2014 Mazda CX-5

Question:

I have a class III hidden hitch on my 2014 Mazda CX5. I want to mount a bike carrier 2 or 3 bikes between my vehicle and my 2015 T@G Max Tear travel trailer. The manufacturer recommends a 16 inch clearance from the ball to the ground. I want to be safe and am new to towing anything. Will this part #bm20 serve my needs and what bike carrier do you recommend? Thank you.

One route you could go would be to use the long ball mount part # BM20 that you referenced and a towing bike rack like the part # S64664. Check out the review video I attached for the bike rack.

Another solution for you would be to go with a roof rack bike rack. Which if you don't have a roof rack check out the link I attached that will take you to a page that has all of the racks we offer for the various roof designs of your 2014 Mazda CX-5.

For a roof rack mounted bike rack you could go with the Rhino-Rack MountainTrail Rooftop Bike Carrier # RBC035 as it will fit nearly all cross bar styles.
