I pulled one of the Tekonsha Voyager brake Controllers, part # 39510 from our warehouse to take a measurement for you. The wire that exits the back of the brake controller measures 8 inches from the back of the unit to the end of the connector.
If you have a 7-way connector on the rear of your 2013 Honda Ridgeline, you can use a quick connect adapter, part # 3070-P. One end simply attaches to the connector at the back of the brake controller and the other end plugs into built-in harness located beneath the dash. I have attached a link to a product review video for this adapter.
If you do not have a 7-way connector on the back of your Ridgeline I recommend the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller, part # ETBC7. This plugs into the vehicle 4-way connector and along with additional wiring gives you a 4-way and 7-way connector at the back of your Ridgeline.
I then recommend the Tekonsha Wiring Harness, part # 20127. This 12 inch long adapter will splice into your vehicle wiring and still give you a quick disconnect adapter for the brake controller.
