Troubleshooting Stoplight Circuit Wire of Brake Controller Wiring Not Functioning
Question:
looks like the brake light input burned out or shorted out on the back left side brake light input harness, I installed a new light bolt n didnt work, what the next move I need to take

Sounds like you have a blown CHMSL fuse in your 2009 Dodge Ram if the stoplight circuit of your brake controller wiring isn't functioning properly.
Check the fuse box of your vehicle for that fuse (CHMSL stands for center high mount signal light). This is what powers the third brake light at the top of the cab of your truck. This circuit is connected to brake controller stoplight circuits often.
