Recommended Dual Hitch Adapter For Flat Towing 1/2 Ton Chevrolet Silverado With Trike In Bed

Question:

we flat tow with a blue Ox setup a 1/2 ton chevy Silverado. The Silverado has a goldwing trike in the bed. Flat tow Silverado and haul in the bed of the Silverado a trike, about 1300 lbs Will this work rating wise.

The Curt Dual 2 inch Receiver Tube Adapter, part # D-192 has a combined weight rating of 3,500 lbs. Since you said you are flat-towing your Silverado and it also has a Goldwing Trike in the bed, you will exceed the capacity of the adapter by quite a lot and cannot be recommended.

I recommend the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter, part # RM-077-4. This adapter has dual 2 inch receiver openings and has a gross towing weight capacity of 10,000 lbs. This is designed for flat-towing only and should never be used to tow a trailer, so it may be just what you are looking for.

You will want to check the owner's manual or with your dealership to make sure you do not exceed the towing capacity of your towing vehicle.
