Expert Reply:

Helper springs and any suspension enhancement product such as # SSA8 are meant to be installed on a vehicle with a factory suspension system that is in good working condition. It sounds like the suspension needs to be replaced on your 2003 Ford E-350 so you would not want to install suspension enhancement until it is replaced.

Once it is replaced then adding suspension enhancement will help extend the life of the stock suspension so that you do not run into this issue again. For your RV cutaway model though you would use # SSA12. But what I recommend are Timbren springs # TFER35092B since they are designed more for heavy vertical loads unlike the SSA12 which is more for stability.
