What Is the Part Number for a Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2010 Honda Pilot with No Trailer Wiring

Question:

Could you tell me what comes with this kit. I have a 2010 Honda Pilot that has a tow package but no wiring to the bumper. There is a twelve pin connector in the stowage area just behind the rear left bumper, The OE Honda kit has five fuses, two relays, a control unit, trailer socket harness and a socket bracket for mounting. I plan to rent a small trailer which more than likely will be a four prong so Ill need a conversion from 7 to 4.

If there was no wiring from the factory, then it is not a tow package equipped vehicle. For the 2010 model year, all Pilots are built with hitches, but the models with tow packages had a wiring harness included.

The part you need is part # 118491. It is a 4-Pole connector and the kit includes the fuses, relays, and control modules needed to complete the wiring setup.
