Clearance Issues with 2015 Subaru Outback with Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch and Yakima Holdup 2
Question:
Hello, Just want to verify prior to making a purchase that there is sufficient bumper clearance for this combination of hitch and bike rack. Is there enough clearance between the rear of the 2015 Outback Bumper and the Yakima Holdup 2inch when the bike rack is not carrying bikes and is locked in the upright storage position? 2015 Outback 2.5i Premium Draw-Tite 75673 Yakima Holdup 2

The Yakima HoldUp measures 12 inches from center of hitch pin hole to closest wheel holder. In the folded position it measures 7 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole, so you should have plenty of clearance in both positions.
We installed the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 75673, on a 2014 Outback and measured 4-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the farthest back part of the rear bumper, see video link.
If you have a different hitch to determine if the Yakima Holdup Bike Rack # Y02443 will work on your vehicle when carrying bikes and folded on your 2015 Subaru Outback, the measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to the farthest back portion of the rear bumper is needed.
