Best Quality Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 with a 6ft Bed
Question:
I have a new Chevy 09 2500 HD truck with the 6 ft. bed. I need to install a gooseneck ball for a trailer. The gross trailer weight should be around 9,000 pounds loaded. Which is the best/safest Reese hitch to install? Should this be dealer installed or does it not matter? Thank you

Any of the Reese gooseneck hitches would be well-suited for your application, but the # 8339-4434 gooseneck would be a good choice, as it is rated at 25,000lbs towing capacity, and will install using the included below bed rails, so you will retain use of your bed when not towing and with the ball folded down.
I have included links to the installation instructions so you can determine if the installation is something you would want to do yourself. I do recommend adding the template, # 6425, which will make installation much easier.
