If you are using Firestone Ride-Rite system # F2542 on your 2011 Ford F-150 short bed then you can install a B&W 5th wheel trailer hitch, # BWRVK3400-5W, using installation kit # BWGNRK1104-5W. This is because this particular air bag system is designed to fit the B&W install brackets.
If you are using Firestone kit # F2525 then you will not be able to install the B&W hitch. But you should be able to install custom installation kit # RP50081-58 since it uses 4 smaller brackets as opposed to 2 large brackets.
Then you would just need a slider hitch to fit the above the bed rails such as the Curt A20 cushioned 5th wheel trailer hitch # C16541. It offers 12 inches of travel for tight turns and the head is cushioned and free floating for improved ride quality and ease of hook up.
