Towing a Trailer with Separate Amber Turn Signals with a 2010 Chevy Camaro

In order to install and use trailer wiring with your 2010 Chevy Camaro and tow a trailer that has amber turn signals separate from the brake lights you will need a couple of things.

First, you will need a wiring harness for the Camaro, # 118486. This is a standard US style 4-Way flat. As such the brake lights and turn signals are combined on the same circuit.

In order to get the amber turn signals to work on the trailer you would also need converter # 118158. This converter has a white wire fro ground, a yellow wire for left turn/brake lights, and a green wire for right turn/brake lights.

The output side has a yellow wire for left turn only, green for right turn only, and red for brake lights only.
