Troubleshooting Brake Controller that Shows Random Output Numbers While Driving
Question:
When I am driving down the road, the controllers digital read out is jumping all over the place,even though I am not braking.

Sounds like the brake switch wire (red) of the brake controller is intermittently shorting out to the 12 volt power supply wire (black) and is causing the controller to show bizarre display readings. I would inspect the wiring for the brake controller looking for any obvious signs of shorts such as exposed or cut wire and insulate as needed.
