Do Colors of Brake Controller Install Harness # 3020-P Match 2008 Dodge Ram Wire Colors

I have a wiring harness with the color sequence, left to right with the lock tab up facing forward, white, red, blue, black. This matches your suggested harness but the wire sequence on the factory harness wire colors are, lock tab up facing forward, Brown/red stripe, Green, White and Black. Do these differences matter?

The correct brake controller install harness for your 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 is the part # 3020-P. It sounds like you have this connector since the pin out of it goes white wire, red wire, blue wire, and then black like you stated.

The colors of this harness aren't supposed to match up with the colors of the wire on the Dodge connector. Manufacturers use different colors all the time.
