Is Optronics Sealed Streamline LED Trailer Tail Light Designed to be used with a 4-Wire System
Question:
is this light compatible with a 4 wire system?

The Optronics Streamline LED Trailer Light is designed to be used with a 3 wire system, not a 4 wire. It has 3 wire leads, one for ground, one for tail light and one for a combined brake/turn signal. You can use this, you will just need a converter to bring the system down from a 4 wire to a 3 wire.
If this is for a trailer behind your 1988 Toyota pickup, you can use a trailer harness with a built in converter like part # C59496. If this is for some other sort of project you could use the part # RM-732 Brite Lite converter from Roadmaster,
