Recommended Wheel for a 1976 Rolco Tandem Boat Trailer with ST175/80D-13 Tires

Question:

I have a 1976 Rolco Boat trailer that uses a 4x4 - 13inch wheel with a 2-1/2inch pilot hole. Where can I find replacement wheels solid preferred that will take ST175/80D 13inch Tires that call for a 5inch Rim? I would like to buy four new wheels if I can find them. Have had no luck so far finding any with the 2-1/2inch Pilot. Thanks,

Helpful Expert Reply:

Based on your tire size of ST175/80D13, your tire will fit rim widths of 4-1/2, 5 and 5-1/2.

The wheel I recommend is the Americana solid center steel wheel # AM20202.

It has a rim dimension of 13-inches x 4-1/2-inches wide. The bolt pattern is 4 on 4 inches and a load rating of 1,660 pounds at 65 psi. The pilot hole is 2.84 inches. Note that the only time the pilot hole matters is if the wheel attaches to the hub using wheel bolts and not lug nuts. If you are using lug nuts, then the pilot holes do not have to be exact, they can be larger, just not smaller.

I included a couple helpful articles and video review for you to view.
