Recommended Roof Rack System for 2014 Hyundai Tucson with Naked Roof

Question:

Hello... I am looking for an inexpensive roof rack system for my 2014 Tucson. I see you have some Thule/Sportrack complete systems sr1003, sr1004, sr1008 etc... will any of these fit my vehicle? Something similar maybe? Thank you very much for your help as always! You guys are awesome!

We offer a number of roof racks for the 2014 Hyundai Tucson with a naked roof.

The link provided will take you to our fitguide page for Tucson roof racks for compatible roof racks. Systems are available from a number of manufacturers and with several types of crossbars (round, square, elliptical and aerodynamic).

For a high quality, inexpensive option check out the Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Roof Rack. This rack consists of parts # RRVA126B-2, # RRRLKVA, and # DK201.

There are no SportRack roof racks available for your vehicle.

Rack crossbars vary in the amount of noise they generate at highway speeds and in their compatibility with rack-mount accessory items like cargo boxes and bike carriers. I have linked an article that will give you lots of useful information to help you determine the type that best suits your requirements. Generally elliptical and aerodynamic types are the quietest crossbars while round and square bars offer the broadest compatibility with rack-mount accessories.

Your Tucson owner's manual should indicate a roof weight limit. It is important that this limit not be exceeded. You need to account for the weight of the rack system you choose plus the weight of whatever you load onto it. For example, if you intend to use a cargo box, you need to add the weight of the rack, cargo box and loaded cargo all together and be sure this remains within the vehicle capacity.
