Best Location for Trailer Connector Bracket on 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe
Question:
my santa fe is a 2011. Installation went very well. My question is: if anyone did not want to hang the connector feed to the trailer under the hatch door, where would you suggest to get the connector feed out to the hitch area?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The plate you see on the hitch (see photo) provides a mounting point for the trailer connector bracket.
For a 4-pole connector, you would use # 18144. For a 5-pole, use # TR20046 and for a 6 or 7-way connector, use part # 18138. Hardware is included with the brackets.
If you do not want to locate the connector at this location you may be able to remove a grommet in the spare tire compartment in the cargo area of your Santa Fe and locate it there.
