Short or Long Bed 2015 Ram 3500 Recommendation for Towing a Fifth Wheel Trailer
Question:
We want to buy a 34foot fifth wheel. We are looking at the 2015 ram 3500 with the 6foot bed. Will that be sufficient to tow a fifth wheel or do we have to go with an 8foot bed.

If the main purpose of the truck will be for towing the fifth wheel trailer I would strongly recommend the long bed.
Short bed trucks require the use of slider hitches when towing fifth wheel trailers so that they have enough clearance to make sharp turns. While this is a viable option that many people go with, it also requires you to get out of your truck and slide the hitch back or forward every time you enter or leave a parking lot. It's not the end of the world, but it can be a hassle. Especially in inclement weather.
I would recommend you go with a long bed 2015 Ram 3500 with the factory rail kit so that you can use the B and W Companion Hitch part # BWRVK3600. Companion hitches are one of the nicest hitches on the market and are highly regarded in the towing world. Check out the review video I attached for more info.
