Comparing Demco and Titan 12 x 2 Inch Hydraulic Drum Trailer Brakes
Question:
refurbishing a Prestigue trailer for my 3000 lb boat. Any reason to pay more for the Demco #42028 vs the Titan T4489600?

The difference in price, besides being from two different manufacturers, is the materials. Demco assembly # 42028 is galvanized steel. Titan assembly # T4489600 is Galphorite plated steel. So you could say that a galvanized material is superior to a plated one though the Galphorite is certainly a fantastic product. It also has a better warranty.
The matching Titan right hand side assembly is # T4489500. Other than that there isn't a reason why you couldn't use either one provided they are the right size for the drums and have the right mounting pattern (5-bolt in this case).
If you go with Demco the matching left hand side assembly is # 42029.
There is one other difference and that is the Demco brakes are rated for up to 7,000 pound axles whereas the Titan assemblies are rated for up to 6,000 pound axles.
