Safety Chain Recommendation for Use with Ranch Hitch # AM3139
Question:
I have a ranch gooseneck adapter on my fifth wheel. I have not used the safety chains as the dealer never mentioned the need when we took delivery of the camper. My question is, Will the little u bolt spring loaded hooks hold up if needed? They dont seem strong enough.

The Safety Chains for Ranch Hitch 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter, # AM3109 that you referenced were designed for the same capacities as the Ranch Hitch, # AM3139 that you have installed on your trailer.
As long as you aren't exceeding the capacity for the # AM3139 the safety chains, if needed, would have enough capacity for you.
If you are referring to the safety chains that are on a gooseneck trailer, then yes those too have enough capacity.
