Ball Mount Recommendation for a 2007 Honda CR-V Needing a 3 inch Rise to Tow Level
Question:
Need ball mount. I measured and it seems I need a 3inch rise. I dont see many. I have class 3 Curt hitch. 2inch receiver. I have a CR-V and am pulling a harbor freight trailer. Also, should I compensate for the CR-Vs suspension compression once there is weight in the car or on the trailer. I want the trailer to be level when driving loaded. Maybe I should get a 4inch rise. Not sure..

You are on the right track. The goal will be for you trailer to sit as level as possible when towing.
Since the rear of your tow vehicle will sag slightly when the trailer is attached to it the best option is to go with a rise slightly higher than what you need. A 4 inch rise ball mount like the part # D-28 would be your best option.
I attached a review video and an FAQ article on picking out the correct rise/drop ball mount for you to check out as well.
