Recommended Wet Bolts With Screw-In Zerk Grease Fittings

Question:

I am in the process of rebuilding my trailer and would like to use wet bolts for the suspension. I read over and over here how the zirks in these bolts fail in one way or the other, Without a sealing ball to keep the dirt out and the grease in they seem like a waste of money. Add the fact that the zirks pull out very easily and you have a failed part. Is there another manufacturer of these types of bolts who uses a screw-in zirk? If not, would it be possible for the end-user to pop these zirks out and thread the bolts for a screw-in zirk?

We offer 2 wet bolts that may work for you because they have screw-in Zerk fittings.

The first wet bolt I recommend is part # 34007-187-00. This is a step wet bolt designed to work with 1-3/4 inch double eye leaf springs. The overall length of this bolt is 3-7/16 inches and the usable length is 3 inches. This is a 9/16 inch diameter bolt. These are sold individually so you would need to enter the quantity you need when ordering.

The other wet bolt I recommend is part # 126A1. This bolt is used to secure the equalizer to the center hanger on a tandem or triple-axle suspension system. This includes the castle nut and cotter pin. This is a 3/4 inch diameter bolt that is 3-1/2 inches long. These are also sold individually.

Both of these wet bolts have the screw-in Zerk grease fitting.

If you decide on the wet bolts with the pressed in Zerk fittings, you can check out part # 126B2, and part # TRFA71063.
