Use of 5th Wheel Trailer to Gooseneck Hitch Adapter on 37-Ft Montana Trailer with Mor-Ryde Pin Box

Question:

I have a 37foot Montana with the mor ride hitch, I am currently using a 3300 superglide hitch which sits on rails. I have the goose neck plate for the rails also. Will this work on the mor ride pin box? I have a 2011 f350 short box which I believe will still give me clearance for sharp turns.

There are a range of adapter types that allow a 5th wheel trailer to be towed by the vehicle that has a gooseneck hitch. These include the type that bolt over the king pin, such as the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter # CAB-C5G that you referenced. Another version of this adapter with 7-1/2-inches of offset (for more clearance) is also offered as part # CAB-C5GX1216. These will work so long as your pin box is not an air-ride type.

For reference I have linked for you an article that covers all of the various types of adapters we offer. These include the bolt-on-king-pin types as well as others.

All adapters except the Reese Goose Box will exert additional stress on the coach's frame and some trailer makers may void the warranty on your frame if you use any type other than the Goose Box. You will want to check your coach owner's manual for any restrictions about the use of adapters. This may vary by coach model so if your manual does not state anything I suggest you contact the manufacturer with your trailer's VIN number so that can confirm if use of an adapter is permitted without affecting your warranty.

According to my technical contact at Reese there is currently no Goose Box offered as a replacement for your Mor-Ryde pin box.
