Kayak Carrying Recommendations for 2009 Honda Civic Sedan

2009 HONDA CIVIC 4DR LOOKING AT ROOF RACK THULE TO CARRY MY 10foot KAYAK. THARB53 CAN YOUGET JBAR OR ANYOTHER SETUP FOR A KAYAK? I KNOW THE TH480R AND NTE THKIT1425 ARE REQUIRED, LOOKING AT MAYBE JUST FLIPPING THE BOAT OVER AND DO TIEDOWN. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

As you mentioned, you'd first need to install a roof rack. For the Thule WingBar Evo rack you need the following parts:

WingBar crossbars # TH711400 in silver or # TH711420 in black
Evo Clamp Feet, # TH710501
Fit Kit, part # TH145190

For a carrier, it sounds like you were wanting something pretty basic, is that correct? Thule offers a basic saddle type carrier, the Top Deck, part # TH881. The carrier includes bow and stern tie downs.

For something a bit simpler, you could go with the Malone Deluxe Foam Block Kayak carrier, part # MPG152. This carrier also includes tie-downs. You can see how these carriers work by viewing the videos I've linked for you.
