Function of Blue Wire on Back of Hopkins Endurance Multi-Tow 7-, 5- and 4-Way Trailer Connector
Question:
On the HM48470. Looking at etrailer.com pictures of the connector. The blue brake wire is soldered to the 7 way middle post. Should the blue brake wire be soldered to the 7 oclock position looking at the front of the connector? I thought the middle post is for reverse lights or AUX 12volt.

Since there really isn't a standard color code/function manufacturers have to go by, you should not go by wire color alone. The Hopkins Endurance Multi-Tow 7-, 5- and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector # HM48470 does have the traditional 7-Way functions at the proper pins.
Since this is a multi-tow connector, that blue wire that is attached to the center pin actually does to the 5th circuit on the 5-Way flat part of it. That is used traditionally on boat trailers to activate an electric reverse lockout.
