Roof Mounted Cargo Basket for a 2009 Mazda 5 with Rola Roof Rack

The crossbar spread on the Rola Roof Rack is 33. Is this a good fit?

I do have a basket recommendation that will work for you but the Curt roof mounted cargo basket # C18115 will not fit the Rola roof rack on your 2009 Mazda 5. The hardware will only fit around bars up to 3 inches wide. The Rola bars are 3-1/8 inches wide and the bar spread (center to center from one bar to the other) would have to be 15, 22, or 29 inches. Your bar spread should be 31 to 33 inches on center.

You can use the Thule Canyon basket, # TH895XT, which will fit bar spreads of 20" - 37" inches. The hardware will fit the bars without any problem. Be sure and measure center to center distance between the bars to verify the Thule basket will fit.
