7-Way Recommendation for Rear and Truck Bed of 2002 Ford F-350 Long Bed
Question:
Hi, Im looking to basically start over from the pre-existing 5th wheel wiring in my 2002 Ford F-350 long bed. Id like to have the Pollack 11-893 style outlets both in the bed and at the bumper. The existing ones are Pollack brand, but an older style, rusting, connections are intermittent, etc. Would this kit retrofit? I watched the informational video, and the problem I see is that I dont have the type of socket that plugs into the T-connector at the back of the truck. There is evidence that the current plug at rear is not the original one multiple sets of holes drilled in the stock Ford mount. Would I be able to obtain one of those sockets and manually wire the ends that currently terminate into the socket at the rear so that this T-connector would plug in? If I could do that, then I *think* this kit would work. Will I be able to retain the current location of the socket in the bed? i.e. is 7.5ft long enough to get to the existing location in the bed which is just above the drivers side rear wheel well? I have additional pictures of the current setup, but I think I can only upload one here, so I just attached the one showing the back of the plug at the bumper. Thanks!!

First thing you'll want to do is get a 7-way plug and lead to replace the 7-way at the rear of your 2002 Ford F-250. For that I would recommend the # HM40975-11998. This comes with a separate 4-way on the side of the 7-way for if you were to ever have to tow a trailer with a 4-way.
This will get hardwired to the wiring that you have currently run to the 7-way at the rear of your truck by function. This comes with a round connector that plugs into the back of the 7-way that makes it compatible with the Fifth Wheel Gooseneck Wiring kit part # PK11893-11932. These two components together would be all that you should need to replace the 7-ways at the rear of your truck and in the truck bed.
