Replacement Cover for 7-Way or Replacement 7-Way Connector for a 2006 GMC Sierra
Question:
I have a 2006 GMC Sierra SLT Crew Cab 4WD 5.3 Liter truck. When hooking up to a trailer, I backed into it and busted the cover over my outlet to plug in the trailer light wiring/adapter. Is there any possible way just to get this cover thing?

It sounds like you are talking about the cover that flips up on the 7-Way connector. We do not have a replacement for it unless you wanted to replace the entire connector. A GM dealer may have just the cover as a replacement part. If they do not then you would need to replace the entire connector.
There are a couple of options for replacing the whole assembly. You could get the GM replacement part that fits right in place of the old one. Or you could get an aftermarket one that has a mounting bracket to install it in an alternate location. I would go with # HM40975 since it offers both a 7-Way and 4-Way in the same connector housing. I linked a video showing installation for you.
