Can I Install a Reese 16K Slider 5th Wheel on Both a 2003 Chevy 2500 and 2006 GMC 3500

will my reese 16k 5th wheel interchange from a chevy silverado 03 2500 to a gmc 06 8ft bed 3500 duelly crew cab

Yes. The 16K Reese 5th Wheel hitch will fit in your 2006 GMC Silverado 3500 with 8 foot bed. But a slider 5th wheel is not necessary for an 8 foot bed ,it can still be used of course! You can lock it in place if you wanted with Pull Pin Lock Plates, # RP58093.
You will need to install Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch Custom Installation Kit with Brackets and Rails, # RP50064-58, if you do not already have an installation kit on the 2006 GMC. I have included a link to the instructions below.
You could also use the Universal Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation Kit with Rails, # RP30035, to install the hitch. I have included the instructions to this kit as well. The universal kit is a bit more time consuming and requires more drilling than the custom kit.
Finally, I have included a video showing a 5th Wheel Hitch installation on a similar vehicle that should be helpful.
