Roof Mounted Cargo Box Recommendation for 2013 Honda CR-V w/ OEM Crossbars

Question:

Our Honda CRV EX 2013 had roof rails and cross bars installed at Honda last week. We wanted to get a good Cargo box, however, we have noticed some of the brands of cargo boxes have their own rails/bars etc. Will this be an issue with existing Honda rails/bars? Any recommendations on Cargo Box for our CRV?

None of the Roof Mounted Cargo Boxes we offer from Yakima, Thule, Prorack, Rhino Rack, SportRack or Whispbar would include crossbars, so there should be no problem.

Your CR-V has a pretty short roof on it, so you'll want to avoid getting a cargo box that's so long that you can't open the rear vehicle hatch without the hatch hitting the rear of the cargo box.

The Thule Pulse, part # TH614 is a likely fit, but you'd want to take a measurement off your vehicle roof to confirm fit. Measure from the center of your vehicle's front roof rack crossbar to the point where the roof meets the hatch. If you can move the front crossbar, make sure its moved all the way forward. If this measurement you took is greater than 42-5/8 inches and the crossbars can be adjusted so they're at least 23-5/8 inches apart , the Pulse # TH614 fits.

If you find the Pulse is too long, the Thule Sidekick # TH78GC would work well.

To safely reach your roof mounted cargo, you might be interested in a tire mounted step like part # HE4040.

I've linked you to some product demonstration videos and FAQ articles you might find helpful, as well as to a listing of other accessories we offer for your vehicle.
